Leo M. Stepanian II

Leo M. Stepanian II graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1980 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and graduated from Syracuse University in 1982 receiving a Masters in Business Administration. He was employed by IBM Corporation in various financial positions from 1982 until 1994. Mr. Stepanian obtained his law decree from Duquesne University, was admitted to the bar in 1994, and became an associate with the firm. Mr. Stepanian II became a partner in the firm in 2005.

Mr. Stepanian II is a member the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is a member of the executive committee of the Butler County Bar Association, past Secretary of the Butler County Bar Association and had been the coordinator for the high school mock trial competition for Butler County.

Mr. Stepanian II is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Superior and Commonwealth Courts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Stepanian II has represented clients throughout Western Pennsylvania in jury trials, non-jury trials, arbitration proceedings, and numerous and varied administrative proceedings, including: Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers' Compensation and Pennsylvania Bureau of Unemployment.

Mr. Stepanian II's experience covers all of the firm's practice areas with concentrations in real estate transactions and litigation, municipal law, business formation, contract law and litigation, construction law and litigation, wills and estates, and insurance defense litigation.
 

Andrew M. Menchyk, Jr.

Andrew M. Menchyk, Jr. joined the firm as an associate in 2003 and became a partner in 2009. Mr. Menchyk has experience in all of the firm's practice areas and focuses on real estate, municipal, insurance defense, general business, construction, personal injury, workers compensation, and employment law.

Mr. Menchyk is a member of the Butler County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Over the course of his career, Mr. Menchyk has represented clients in the Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas throughout Western Pennsylvania in jury and non-jury trial proceedings as well as numerous arbitration proceedings. He has handled matters in other forums including the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission, Pennsylvania Bureau of Worker's Compensation, and Pennsylvania Bureau of Unemployment Compensation.

Mr. Menchyk was born and raised in Butler and graduated from Butler High School in 1993. He then attended the University of West Virginia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1997. After graduation, Mr. Menchyk attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and earned his law degree in 2000.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Menchyk practiced as associate attorney at a Pittsburgh law firm where he focused his practice on real estate and general business law. In 2010, Mr. Menchyk was recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer "Rising Star" in the area of real estate.

Mr. Menchyk and his wife, Sharon, are the proud parents of four children. When he is away from the office, Mr. Menchyk cherishes time with his family and their many activities.
 
 

Julie C. Anderson

Julie C. Anderson is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), a specialized certification awarded by the National Elder Law Foundation. In addition, she is a VA accredited attorney for veterans benefit claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs. She focuses her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning and estate administration. Julie C. Anderson joined the firm as an associate in 2011 and became a partner in 2013.

Ms. Anderson is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

She represents seniors and their families in estate and long term care planning, including qualifying for public benefits, including Medicare, Veterans Benefits, and Medicaid, drafting wills and powers of attorneys, complex trusts for asset protection and providing counsel on competency issues and the use of powers of attorney. She also represents client’s incident to Orphan' Court litigation, including guardianship proceedings.

Anderson was raised in Butler and graduated from Butler High School in 1999. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science in 2002. Ms. Anderson attended Valparaiso University School of Law and earned her law degree in 2006.

Prior to joining Stepanian & Menchyk LLP, Ms. Anderson practiced in Allegheny County in the areas of estate planning and administration and elder law.
